Our very own Angelique van der Linde reached the top 10 of the 2019 Women’s Health Next Fitness Star 2019.
I was an overweight ballet dancer when my fitness journey picked up speed. I was 17 years young when I started to teach at Virgin Active and what started as a hobby, has led to a career in wellness. Seeing people become a healthier version of themselves is honestly what gets me excited to be alive. I have my own law practice as well and I think this insane contrast in my day works because of exactly that, the contrast and difference it brings into my life in its own unique way.
I can sum myself up as a mom and wife/ fitness enthusiast/ lawyer/ business woman/ wellness coach/ column writer/ fitness model and all round entrepreneur. I don’t believe in working with a brand and letting them do the work. I think only a business owner can grasp that concept. I know that working hard from my side will further advance the brands that I align with because its honestly a two way streak.
When you look at me, please do not associate me with a bodybuilder because I am so far away from that as you can get. Am I ripped when I need to be? Yes. But am I also my own healthy size most of the time? For sure. I think that balance is crucial. Health should always be the priority above all else. The amount of success stories I have been involved in over the years is a conversation for another day, but honestly an inspiring one. You can learn and see more of who I am on www.legallyfit.co.za.
I don’t have to be perfect. All I have to do is show up and enjoy the messy, imperfect, and beautiful journey of my life. It’s a journey more wonderful than I could have imagined and I am hopeful to continue this story with the Woman’s Health team and all it’s associated partners.
